Strong to Severe Storms Throughout Area Thursday

Strong to severe storms rumbled throughout the listening area Thursday evening.

Here's a photo of some hail that fell in the area around Hord.

We had tornado warnings issued in the Beecher City and Stewardson areas and at Bible Grove, but there were a number of severe thunderstorm warnings throughout the area.

Effingham seemed to escape the most significant weather. We recorded three-tenths of an inch of rain here at the studios.

The forecast is for a cooler, but calmer weekend for the area.
