Beecher City Board Seeking Bids on Classroom Addition

Beecher City school board members Monday voted to seek bids on construction work at their grade school building in Beecher City.

The motion was to approve the district's design firm, Upchurch and Associates, moving forward with getting bids on construction of either four or five classrooms and an additional bathroom. 

The Board also approved the school calendar for the coming school year; approved this year's graduation date for Saturday, May 11 at 2pm, and approving membership in the IHSA and IESA for the coming school year.

Beecher City board members renewed use of Teacher Ease for the coming school year and approved the consolidated district plan for the coming year.

The Board voted to approve the second option on a bid from Sweetwater Music Instruments and Pro Audio for sound equipment for the high school gymnasium, and approved the SEPCO purchasing agreement for the coming school year.
