Subject of Search in Fayette County Found Dead

A Fayette County man who had been the subject of a search was found dead Tuesday afternoon.

83-year-old Austin Sanders was found dead in a creek bed at the bottom of a steep embankment about three-quarters of a mile west of his home northwest of Ramsey. Fayette County Coroner's Office personnel pronounced Sanders dead at the scene at 2:30pm Tuesday.

A coroner's office release stated that it appears to have been an accidental death and no foul play is suspected.

Sanders had last been seen by a neighbor on Saturday afternoon. Many agencies had been involved in the search for Sanders.
