Effingham Water Authority trustees heard at this month's meeting that the Parks and Rec Committee is in the final phases of paperwork on the Lake Sara Beach renovation project.
Committee Chairman Tom Ryan reported that a check has been issued by the Southeastern Illinois Community Foundation for $25,000.
Brad Hastings shared information with trustees on their addling project. Hastings said that when the addling of goose eggs began there was an estimated 1,200 Canada Geese on the lake and now there are approximately 110 geese.
There was discussion of a request at last month's meeting to purchase a part of a lot in Pearson and Castella Subdivision. The Board instead decided to sell the entire lot by sealed bid. The Board also entertained a motion to move the lot line between two properties on Court 7 to allow for placement of a pool.
The Board heard from Dennis Campbell regarding adding a larger building on his property, and also heard from Campbell regarding dust caused by a dirt road at Lakeside Marina. The Board will let the Marina know that complaints have been received regarding the dust.
