Neoga school district residents will soon see additional construction work underway at the junior-senior high school building.

Superintendent Kevin Haarmann said the work should begin next week with Grunloh Building as contractor.

Some of the project will involve finishing abatement of the floor tile and its replacement, improvements to the lobby and concessions area, and casework on trophy cases.

Much of the work will involve adding on to the south gym, making way for a weight room and storage. The former weight room, meanwhile, will be converted to a larger Ag classroom, a program that is growing at Neoga. There are also two Ag shops, one metal fabrication, the other a wood shop.

Meanwhile, plans are to gut and renovate all existing locker rooms.

Further improvements are forthcoming, too, at the baseball diamond. Tony Fearday of Sigel Equipment had added to his donations to the ballfield with purchase of a scoreboard and a flagpole.
