Effingham County Board Chairman Josh Douthit served as weekly guest speaker for the Effingham Noon Rotary Club on February 14.

Douthit discussed the duties of the County Board and also shared accomplishments of the Board and the services the County in general and the County Board in particular provide to area residents.

Noon Rotarian and Douthit's fellow County Board member Norbert Soltwedel served as Rotary weekly program chairman.

The Rotary weekly student guest was Rylea Hodge, the daughter of William "Billy" and Hannah Hodge and a senior at Effingham High School. Rylea is a member of several clubs and organizations at EHS and competes on the high school basketball and track squads. She's also strongly involved in graphic design and graphic arts. She is headed this fall to Lake Land College, then hopes to transfer to Eastern Illinois University.
