Effingham Noon Rotarians took a week off from typical presentations to have a friendly competition at their meeting February 7.
Noon Rotarian Mike Sehy and wife Sharon brought back a contest they had shared with the club a few years ago. The bottom line was defining words and terms. Along the way, club members picked up votes from fellow Rotarians, coming up with creative definitions that, while not correct, sure convinced other members to vote for those definitions to win points in the competition. Rotarian Mike McCollum was the winner, but everyone enjoyed the competition.
The Rotary weekly student guest was Aidan Braunecker, son of Matt and Elizabeth Braunecker and a senior at St. Anthony High School. In addition to being Senior Class President, Aidan participates in both sports and academic organizations. He said he's headed to college, but isn't sure where yet.
