Meeting to Discuss Jasper Courthouse Future Will Be Thursday

Jasper County residents are asked to participate in a discussion of the county courthouse in Newton on Thursday night.

A special community meeting called by the Jasper County Board will begin at 6pm in the courtroom. The meeting was called in light of information that the Courthouse might need repaired if not replaced.

Topics Thursday will include the building's history, its purpose and use, its condition, and future options. Tours of the Courthouse will be conducted following the meeting.
