Local attorney Andrew Koester shared memories of his tenure as Clay County State's Attorney during a presentation to the Effingham Noon Rotary Club on January 24.

Koester discussed how he approached cases, including first degree murder cases, and those charged in the cases. Koester is now in private practice in Effingham. He is also the incoming Noon Rotary President.

Noon Rotarian Dave Ring served as Rotary weekly program chairman.

Laney Coffin was the weekly Rotary student guest. Laney is the daughter of Shelly and Ed Coffin and is a senior at St. Anthony High School.
