Stewardson-Strasburg school board members Wednesday approved Veregy Performance Contractors for the work on the windows on the east side of the high school. The work will be done at a cost not to exceed $180,000.

The Board approved the fee schedule for the coming school year; discussed moving 8th grade promotion and high school graduation to a Friday evening, with a date and time to be set at the February board meeting; and heard from Kent Kull in the presentation of the annual financial report that the financial score for the District was a perfect 4.0.

Board members heard from Superintendent Justin Deters that the Stew-Stras district is part of a $650,000 grant to provide opportunities to students in the area of manufacturing.

The Board also reassigned Jenna Layton to Rtl for the coming school year, and accepted the letter of resignation and retirement from Penny Hess at the end of the current school year.
