Teutopolis village board members continued their discussion Wednesday as to which firm should be chosen to provide engineering services to the village.
Conner and Conner Engineers is the village's current engineering firm, but discussions have taken place with Milano and Grunloh Engineers.
The question of which firm to select was tabled until the Board's February 7 meeting.
The Board also tabled until the 7th a decision on how to regulate vacation rentals and home businesses. The Board's Public Health, Safety and Water Committee met ahead of last night's board meeting to discuss the issue.
Board members hired Travis Monnet as an additional part-time police officer. Monnet also works as a deputy for the Effingham County Sheriff's Department. The Board also discussed whether to put in a bid on snowflake ornaments being sold by the City of Effingham, and voted to cover the $380 cost of two water department employees to attend a state technical conference to be held in Effingham in February.
