State Government Retirees to Begin Paying Insurance Premiums Monday

State government retirees will start paying premiums for their state health insurance beginning on Monday.  However, the money will be left untouched in a new state account.  A judge made the ruling yesterday. 

A lawsuit had asked that the money be held in escrow until the state Supreme Court figures out if health insurance premiums are an unconstitutional diminishment of pension benefits.
