Things were getting back to normal Friday afternoon after Interstate 57 was blocked in both directions near Ina due to a crash.

Illinois State Police say that two passenger vehicles and a truck-tractor semi-trailer collided at milepost 84 in Jefferson County at approximately 11:35am. The semi caught fire as a result of the crash, and injuries occurred.

All lanes northbound and southbound were closed to conduct a traffic crash investigation. All northbound lanes reopened at 1:38pm. One lane of southbound I-57 was still closed at the crash location as of 4:30pm.
