No Changes in Park District Fee Schedule for 2024

Effingham Park Board commissioners have decided not to make any changes to the fee schedule for 2024.

The Board also heard from Rink Management officials that the Workman Sports and Wellness Complex grew by 200 new memberships in December. It was also reported that 2nd and 3rd grade basketball numbers are up from last year, with 141 kids participating.

Following a closed session, the Park Board voted to give staff members $1/hour raises to keep pace with the increase in minimum wage rates.

The Board also held a hearing on the issuance of $750,000 in general obligation bonds for 2024 for capital improvements. No one from the public attended the hearing.
