30th Anniversary of WXEF is Today!

Today is a special day in the history of Premier Broadasting...this is the 30th anniversary of the day that WXEF went on the air.

We began on January 3, 1994 at 97.7 at 3,000 watts. We later transferred to 97.9 so we could double our output power and expand our listening area.

There are two employees of Premier Broadcasting remaining who have been here since the first day, George Flexter and Greg Sapp. Dave Ring, with wife Gayla, started the plans for the station, and are still leading things today.

Be listening at 8am today, when Flex will drop in and do a little reminiscing with Greg about those early days.

Thanks to all of you for faithful listening on WXEF and later on KJ Country. We have plans for a community celebration later this year to mark this milestone.
