(LANCE FLOWERS)

Three people were arrested over the Christmas weekend, accused of illegally entering a residence along the Funkhouser Road.

Just after 6am Saturday, the Effingham County Sheriff's Office received a report that the three broke into the residence and that one of the subjects was armed. The three fled the scene, but two were located later that day and arrested, while the third suspect turned himself in on Sunday. All three people were taken into custody without incident.

The three suspects are 19-year-old Lance W. Flowers, 19-year-old Cylas K. Niemeyer, and a juvenile. All three subjects are from Effingham County.

Flowers was in court Wednesday and was charged with residential burglary, criminal trespass to a residence, and criminal damage to property. He is next due in court on January 24. Niemeyer and the juvenile were pre-trial released, and are yet to be charged.
