Cumberland school board members took care of teaching and coaching assignments at this month's meeting.

The Board hired Rachael Kingery as a middle school teacher, approved Craig Beaumont as a volunteer wrestling coach, and approved Tanner Krumwiede as a volunteer athletic trainer for wrestling tournaments.

Board members approved the employment contracts of James Steven Wheeler and Erin St. John, approved the employment contracts of Christine Mock and Sherry Parker, and approved the employment contract of Brad Becker as assistant maintenance director. Kendra Heinbaugh was employed as high school assistant softball coach.

The Cumberland board also approved the tax levy, abating the Bond and Interest Levy by $50,000. Worker's Compensation insurance coverage through State Auto was purchased through Imming Insurance. The school calendar for the coming school year was approved, and the Board requested quotes on a scissor lift, and on repairs to the southwest playground.
