Sheila Carter, Activities Director for the Central Illinois Effingham HOG Chapter #1603 made and hand quilted this T-Shirt quilt made up of several different t-shirts from several different Harley Davidson Dealers and HOG (Harley Owners Group).
The local HOG Chapter then sold raffle tickets from December through June 8. The Drawing was held on June 8 during the IL State HOG Rally which was held at Legacy Harley Davidson. The proceeds from the raffle will be going to the Salvation Army. This quilt raffle raised $1,715.00 which puts the Chapter well on its way to donate just as much if not more money to the Salvation Army as they did last year, which was $3,000.00.
Shown in the picture with the quilt is Sheila Carter, Activities Director of the Central Illinois Effingham HOG Chapter #1603 and also the quilt maker.
Anyone wishing to donate funds to the Chapter to be given to the Salvation Army may leave a message on their Facebook page www.facebook.com/centralillinoiseffinghamhogchapter or may contact or leave message for an officer to contact them at Legacy Harley Davidson.
