Holiday Lights, Festive Sights Winners Announced

The winners in the 10th Annual Holiday Lights and Festive Sights competition have been announced.

This year's winners are:

The More, The Merrier Award--the Nunag Family at 1104 Holiday Drive

The Hallmark House Award--the Barr Family at 1008 Beckman Drive

The Spirit of Effingham Business Award--Tom Henderson State Farm (Henderson State Farm donated their $250 prize, and matched it with their own donation of $250, to the Effingham Child Develpment Center for the bus stop in memory of Walker and Rosie Bryan)

Each of the other winners received $250 and a sign to be displayed in their yard, designating them as the winner of their category in the competition.

Visit Effingham received over 800 votes in the past week. They remind that maps of the top three homes and businesses in each category are still available online or at the Effingham Tourism Office at City Hall at 201 East Jefferson Avenue.
