Teutopolis Board Finalizes Prices for Lots in Prairie View

Teutopolis village board members Wednesday finalized new prices for lots in Prairie View Subdivision.

Contractors will pay $3,000 for a lot. Those buying a lot along Oak Street will pay $5,000, and those buying a lot along John Street will pay $8,000.

The Board passed the ordinance regarding the Illinois Paid Leave for All Workers Act, which will give part-time employees of the village one day off a year.

Board members approved the purchase of police radar guns, but Village Board President David Repking vetoed the measure so it's expected the issue will be revisited. The Board decided against repairing the speed sign on Green Street due to the $1,400 repair cost.

Board members also discussed a change in village engineers, switching from Conner and Conner to Milano and Grunloh. Formal action on the switch could come in January.
