Daily Closures for Road Across Lake Shelbyville Dam for Maintenance

The road across the main dam at Lake Shelbyville will be closed periodically this week and again the first three weeks of January.

Closures will only occur Monday through Friday starting at 7:00AM and reopen at 4:00PM the same day. These times are approximate and may fluctuate a few minutes.

The closures apply to both vehicle and pedestrian traffic; however, access to the Dam West Overlook area will continue to be open during this time.

These closures are necessary to provide safety for workers and members of the general public while work is being conducted. The closures are necessary for workers to safely install new electrical components on the main dam.
