Mach 1's 5th Annual Bourbon Auction raised a whopping $106,000.

The online and silent auction event was held over this past Thursday and Friday nights on Mach 1's Facebook page, with Mach 1's Michael Meyer serving as auctioneer.

The funds will be split evenly between Blessings in a Backpack of Effingham and Crisis Nursery of Effingham County.

Meyer, who organizes the auction each year, said, “We are profoundly grateful to our dedicated supporters and passionate bidders who have made this year’s auction another overwhelming success. Every year I wonder how we are going to top the previous year’s donations, and every year I am humbled by the unwavering support and generosity of our community.”

Over the course of two nights, Mach 1 showcased a curated selection of 64 items up for auction. Bidders joined the virtual event, experiencing the thrill of competitive bidding while contributing to a greater philanthropic purpose.
