Altamont Council Approves New TIF Agreement

Altamont City Council members Monday approved a payment to Crystal Sphar, who is expanding her business and is receiving Tax Increment Financing funds.

Sphar owns Skin Refinery in Altamont and has acquired an adjoining property. The Council voted to award Sphar $25,000 in TIF dollars. The funding is due to Sphar's plans to expand services, meaning more employees.

The Altamont Council also approved the City's holiday schedule for 2024, adding Martin Luther King, Jr. Day on January 15.
