Plans Announced for Community Christmas Day Dinner

The Effingham County FISH Organization is sponsoring the Annual Free Effingham County Christmas Day Dinner on Monday, December 25.

This year, there will be a congregate meal at The Effingham Event Center, with serving starting at 1:30pm. They will still offer delivered meals as well as curbside pickup. Meal delivery will take place after 11:00am. Curbside pickup will be available at The Effingham Event Center (former KC Hall), 1501 W. Fayette in Effingham between 12:00 noon and 1:00pm.

This event is free and open to all Effingham County residents and their families, however donations are always greatly appreciated and may be sent to: FISH, P. O. Box 473, Effingham, lL 62441. To reserve meals for Congregate, Home Delivered and/or Curbside Pickup, please call the Senior Center at 2l7-347-5569 bv December 21, 2023. After December 2l, 2023, please call 217-868-5913.

Volunteers are needed to help package and deliver meals. They will start cutting cakes and packaging meals at 10:00 am. The Eflingharn Event Center, 1501 W. Fayette. Effingham is where all the FUN takes place. To volunteer, please call Susan Elke at 217-868-5913.
