Sarah Bush Lincoln Unveils Willow Breeze Hospice House

One of the last hospice houses in downstate Illinois has been unveiled by Sarah Bush Lincoln.

Willow Breeze is located on the north side of the health center's main campus at 10660 County Road 800 North. The facility was six years in the making, and was licensed in 2020. 

Willow Breeze will be taking patients around the first of December, featuring round-the-clock care in home-like settings. Respite care will also be offered. 

The facility will offer both Medicare and private pay options, and there are endowment funds available for those in need. There are also two guest rooms for family. There is a chapel and bereavement counseling will be available to follow a family for 13 months.

The public has donated $3.2 million to Willow Breeze, including more than $300,000 donated by SBL staff members.
