Lake Land Board Approves Levy, Adjust Stipends to Meet New Minimum Wage

Lake Land College trustees have approved a proposed aggregate tax levy for the coming fiscal year.

The levy actually proposes a 1.6% decrease in the amount. The levy would be .5378 cents per $100 equalized assessed valuation.

There was a problem with the publication of the Foundation Tax Levy in the newspaper utilized by Lake Land, so the levy had to be reapproved by the Board.

The Board also approved part-time rates and stipends. The changes were designed to comply with the new minimum wage that takes effect on January 1st.
