Cowden-Herrick Board Members Pass Tax Levy, Abate Taxes

Cowden-Herrick school board members approved their tentative tax levy at this month's meeting.

The Board also approved a resolution abating taxes that would have covered a bond payment. Enough interest was earned on the bond that the levy was not necessary.

Board members approved a bid from Mason's Masonry Restorations for $99,910 to replaced lintels at the Herrick campus, and voted to seek a state construction grant to help pay for the window lintel replacement work.

Cowden-Herrick board members approved a senior class trip to Branson, Missouri, and also approved the auditor report for the past fiscal year.

The Board also appproved an unpaid leave of absence for Jaclyn Golding at the conclusion of her leave through the end of the current school year.
