Fire Destroys Greathouse of Pizza in Casey

Fire destroyed the Greathouse of Pizza in Casey Friday morning.

Casey firefighters were called to the establishment just after 2:30am. No one was in the building, and no firefighters were injured. The Illinois State Fire Marshal's Office is investigating the cause of the blaze.

The pizza parlor was located along Illinois Route 49 in Casey. Martinsville firefighters assisted the Casey department at the scene, and prevented the fire from spreading to a nearby residence.

The building had a metal roof, which collapsed down inside the walls, making the fire more difficult to extinguish.
