Schedule Announced for 2013 Effingham County Fair

The schedule for the 2013 Effingham County Fair is a full one.

This year's fair will run from Friday, August 2 through Saturday, August 10 at Altamont.

Here's the schedule, day by day:

Friday, August 2--

6pm--partial midway with Tonns of Fun Inflatables

6:30pm--Lucas Oil Pro Pulling League Pull

Saturday, August 3--

9am--car show

noon-10pm--Tonna of Fun Inflatables

1pm--lawnmower races

6pm--partial midway opens

5:30pm--talent show (new night, earlier time)

8pm--BLEND

Sunday, August 4--

8:30am--church service in the 4-H Arena

noon-10pm--Tonns of Fun Inflatables

1pm--Big Ten harness racing

5pm--Twilight Parade

6pm--partial midway opens

6:30pm--Master Showmanship in the 4-H show arena

7pm--Junior Miss Effingham County Pageant (new night)

Monday, August 5--

1pm--Big Ten harness racing

6pm--full midway opens

6:30pm--Hasting's Filters Truck, Tractor and Garden Tractor Pull

Tuesday, August 6--

1pm--harness racing

6-10:30pm--Midway open with $17 for an armband

7pm--Miss Effingham County Fair Queen Pageant and Little Miss Pageant

Wednesday, August 7--

1pm--Topline harness racing

4pm--all rides $1.50 each

5:30pm--4-H Auction

6pm--antique tractor pull

7pm--Hasting's Filters Truck Tractor, Semi Pro Stock and Antique Pull

Thursday, August 8--

1pm--harness racing

6-10:30pm--Midway open with $17 for an armband

7:30pm--rough stock rodeo

Friday, August 9--

noon--thoroughbred and quarter horse racing

5pm--midway opens at regular prices

7pm--Chris Cavanaugh in concert

8pm--Randy Houser in concert

Saturday, August 10--

Kids and Teens Day sponsored by Effingham County School Resource Officers

2pm--ATV pull

2-5pm--midway opens with armbands for $10

5:45pm and after--regular rides at $1/ticket

6:30pm--demolition derby and lawnmower soccer

There will be two $100 cash drawings Friday through Friday, and two $50 student drawings Friday through Friday.
