Altamont School Board Discusses Kitchen Renovation Project

Altamont school board members Tuesday discussed a kitchen remodel project at the high school building.

Laura Weber from GRP Mechanical was on hand to present an updated scope of work. It was also discussed that abatement work needs to be completed prior to the start of the kitchen remodeling.

Auditor Bo Thomas of Glass and Shuffett reported that the Altamont district received a total financial profile score of 3.8, which is classified as Recognition status, the highest category a district can receive. The Board also heard from Altamont Grade School teachers who reported on an Elevate conference.

Following a closed session, the Altamont board employed Brian Suckow as fresh/soph boys basketball coach and Eric Kollmann as 5th and 6th grade basketball coach. The Board also approved Andy Beesley and Kollin Lowry as volunteers for high school baseball.
