St. Elmo School Board Approves Bond Issuance

St. Elmo school board members Wednesday authorized the issuance of up to $535,000 in general obligation school bonds. The funds generated by the bond sale will be used for the altering, repairing and equipping of district buildings.

The Board also voted to seek up to $50,000 in school maintenance grant funds, and approved the purchase of property located at 123 South Ash Street in St. Elmo from Shannon Moss.

In personnel action, the St. Elmo board approved Chad Towler as junior high boys basketball volunteer, Taylor Cloe as junior high cheerleading coach, Tresnee Adams as junior high cheerleading coach, and Rachel Booher as high school softball coach.

St. Elmo board members also authorized the early graduation of a student by December 20, and accepted the retirement notice of Victoria Durbin, effective March 29, 2024.
