Edgewood Man Injured in Motorcycle Crash

An Edgewood man was injured in a motorcycle crash Tuesday afternoon.

The crash happened just before 2pm along Illinois Route 37 in Edgewood. Effingham County Sheriff's Office reported 39-year-old Kenneth Pontious lost control of the cycle he was operating and left the roadway to the right.

Pontious was airlifted from the scene by Arch Air and was taken for treatment.

The accident remains under investigation by the Sheriff's Office.
