Altamont City Council members Monday approved a professional services agreement with Milano and Grunloh Engineers. The agreement will involve the design and construction engineering on a water main project in the central part of the city.
The grant funded project will involve new water mains along Main Street from the 4-way stop, north to Jackson Street. Portions of 3rd and 4th Streets will also get new water mains. The project cost is $252,638.10.
The Council also approved the final pay request to Kamadulski Excavating for sanitary sewer installation in South Point Subdivision, the new residential development in the south part of the city. The payment totaled $42,614.64.
Also approved was a payment to Larry Heuerman for street oiling for just over $18,000.
The Altamont Council also decided against a deferred compensation plan due to a lack of interest by City workers.
