As a 501(c)3 non-profit, Crisis Nursery of Effingham County’s financial outlook is dependent upon local partnerships and grants, state grant opportunities, and the generosity of the community’s donors.
Every year, Crisis Nursery of Effingham County faces a sizeable funding deficit, despite its support from state and local support. The Nursery’s Administration and Board of Directors work diligently to harness local support through annual in-house and local funding efforts. This year, the Nursery is facing its largest deficit to-date in the amount of nearly $100,000.
Since the start of the new fiscal year 2024, The Crisis Nursery Administration and Board have slowly started closing the gap by 21% thus far. Through the upcoming Lend A Hand Breakfast, they hope to showcase the program and their future to inspire individuals and community businesses to invest in Crisis Nursery.
