Stewardson-Strasburg school board members discussed continuing their window replacement project at this month's meeting.

The work would involve the east side of the high school and the offices.

Meanwhile, the Board approved the budget for the new fiscal year, featuring a deficit of $132,959. Superintendent Justin Deters said the deficit is due to the window project and the track project payments. Deters reported that the track project is nearly complete.

High School Principal Cody McCollum reported that high school Science assessments were well above State averages, and Grade School Principal Penny Hill reported that Ag in the Classroom is getting underway.

In personnel moves, the Stew Stras board hired Jared Smith as head 5th and 6th grade basketball coach and hired Jason Pruemer and Jeremy Pruemer as assistant 5th and 6th coaches, and accepted the resignation of Rebeka Hoene as junior high assistant volleyball coach.
