This is Homecoming Week for 2023 at Effingham High School.

This year's theme is "Disco with the Hearts". 

Monday will feature a special kickoff welcome for students before school, including passing out treats.

Monday will be P.J. Day

Special Homecoming Week Library Activities will include Spirit Rock Painting, EHS Yearbook Scavenger Hunt, Spirit Button Making, and Lunch Time Trivia Competiion Signup.

Tuesday will be Twin Day, Wednesday will be Barbie vs. Ken Day, Thursday will be Disco Day, and Friday will be School Spirit Day.

The Homecoming Parade will take place on Wednesday night, stepping off from behind the Effingham Public Library at 6pm, heading west on Jefferson Avenue to Mulberry Street (one block farther west than usual due to the Fayette Avenue construction project), south on Mulberry to Grove Avenue, and west on Grove to the high school. This year's Parade Marshal will be Carmen Huelsbusch. The Powder Puff Game will follow the parade at 7pm. Proceeds from the game will benefit Effingham County FISH Human Services.

The Homecoming Football Game, with Effingham hosting Taylorville, will be played Friday night with kickoff at 7pm. Coronation will take place during halftime.

The Homecoming Dance will be held Saturday night from 7 to 10pm in EHS Gym.

This year's Homecoming Court includes seniors Raegan Boone and Camden Raddatz, Makenna Duckwitz and Spencer Fox, Kateleigh Zeigler and Drew Hanfland, and Lindy Kalber and Blayne Pals...Juniors Max Allen and Angeline Rivera and Adam Flack and Korina Hecht...Sophomores Cannon Bockhorn and Sophia Williams and Wyatt Hayes and Averie Wolfe...and Freshmen Leo Wyckoff and Maci Hayes and Carter Braddy and Kiela Allison.
