Webinar Scheduled on Role of Manufacturing in Area

The State of Illinois celebrates manufacturing for the entire month of October. In recognition of this celebration, on Thursday, September 28 at 10:30 a.m. the Business Navigator Alliance of South Central and Southeastern Illinois will host a webinar focusing on the crucial role manufacturing plays in the regional economy.

For this webinar, organizers will dive into regional initiatives that the Business Navigator Alliance is taking to bring new opportunities to local businesses, by introducing the aerospace industry to Southcentral and Southeastern Illinois. Paul Gandola, Legal Counsel to the Ohio Aerospace Institute and Angela Griffin, President of Coles Together will detail these plans.

Attendees will also hear an analysis from U of I Extension Specialist Zach Kennedy, demonstrating the significant role that manufacturing has in our economy.

The Southeastern Illinois Business Navigator Alliance was formed by Clark, Coles, Crawford, Edgar, Effingham and Moultrie Counties to provide professional outreach and technical assistance in applying for state and federal economic relief programs for businesses negatively impacted by COVID-19.
