Two Louisville Men Given Prison Terms

Two Louisville men were given prison sentences Wednesday in Clay County Circuit Court.

Clay County State's Attorney Phillip Givens said 32-year-old Steven T. Felty pled guilty to unlawful delivery of 5 to 15 grams of methamphetamine. Felty had been arrested on the charge on August 16. 

Felty pled guilty Wednesday and received a negotiated sentence of four years in prison. He will serve one year mandatory supervised release once out of prison.

Givens said 30-year-old Kohl P. Harrison admitted to violations of his probation on July 12 of unlawful possession of a controlled substance. In court Wednesday, Harrison was sentenced to three years in prison.

Harrison also pled guilty Wednesday to a separate charge of unlawful possession of 5 to 15 grams of methamphetamine. He received a negotiated sentence of four years in prison. to be served after the three-year sentence for a total of seven years in prison. He will serve one year mandatory supervised release once out of prison.

The investigations were conducted by the Clay County Sheriff's Office, Southeastern Illinois Drug Task Force, Illinois State Police and the Clay County Probation Department.
