City Police Investigating Hit and Run in Which Pedestrian Was Injured

Effingham City Police could use your help solving a hit and run incident in which a pedestrian was injured.

The incident occurred about 8:20pm Tuesday in the 200 block of West Eiche Avenue.

City Police Assistant Chief Kurt Davis said a pedestrian identified as 28-year-old Martina Guerrero of Effingham was struck by a vehicle that then left the scene. Davis said Guerrero was airlifted to Carle Hospital in Urbana for treatment.
