Watson Man Sentenced to Prison for Armed Robbery in Salem

Watson resident Brandon Wagner has pleaded guilty in Marion County Circuit Court to armed robbery.

The 30-year-old Wagner was sentenced Thursday to eight years in prison. Wagner will be placed on 18 months mandatory supervised release once out of prison.

Wagner was arrested by Salem city police in January for the armed robbery of the Spirit Shoppe in Salem. Police at the time said the store clerk was not injured in the holdup where an undetermined amount of money was taken.

Wagner displayed a large knife in the commission of the robbery.
