One Person Injured in Tuesday Crash in County

One driver was injured in a two-vehicle collision in the southwest part of Effingham County Tuesday morning.

The Effingham County Sheriff's Office reported the crash occurred on 300th Street, just north of 1st Avenue, in West Township at 8:53am.

Deputies report a truck driven by 34-year-old Brent Webb of Kinmundy was slowing along the roadway so Webb could secure a load handle. A car driven by 20-year-old Adrianna Schaubert of Teutopolis struck the rear of the truck. 

Schaubert was injured and was transported by Rural Med EMS, following treatment at the scene by Farina Fire, to HSHS St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital in Effingham.

There was no information as to whether citations were issued.
