Saturday Death of Local Man Due to Natural Causes

The weekend death of a local man was due to natural causes.

Effingham County Coroner Duane Guffey was called to a residence in Teutopolis Saturday about 10:40am by the Effingham County Sheriff's Department.  60-year-old Bernard C. Heuerman had been found unresponsive in his residence by a relative.  Emergency medical assistance and police were notified and subsequently the coroner was requested.

Guffey pronounced Heuerman dead at 11:03am.  No foul play is suspected.
