An Altamont woman was injured Sunday night when her vehicle was struck by a runaway semi cab.

Just after 10:30pm, a semi pulling three tractor trucks and a vehicle were traveling south on I-57, a mile north of Salem.  One of the tractor trucks being towed came loose and struck the vehicle driven by 44-year-old Wendy Blurton of Altamont.

Blurton was injured and was taken to Salem Public Hospital for treatment.

The driver of the semi towing the tractor trucks, 54-year-old Roberto Galvan-Herevia of Matanoros, Mexico, was cited for spilling his load on the roadway.
