Funding Announced for Infrastructure and Housing Rehab Projects

Governor JB Pritzker and the Illinois Department of Commerce & Economic Opportunity (DCEO) Friday announced the recipients for the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) for Public Infrastructure and Housing Rehabilitation.

A total of $56.9 million will be awarded for 54 projects, which will support housing rehabilitation projects and enable communities in non-metropolitan areas to make critical repairs to water, sewer, and drainage infrastructure to enhance safety and quality of life for residents.

The recipients in this area and the amount of funding includes:

Altamont--$1.5 million

Effingham--$1,275,000

Flora--$1.5 million

Vandalia--$1.5 million

Fayette County--$1.3 million

Cowden--$1.5 million

Watson--$1,220,000
