Teutopolis village board members Wednesday discussed two pending ordinances.

One measure would regulate health and abate noise nuisances in the village. That matter was referred to committee for further review.

The village's public health, safety and water committee reported on a proposed swimming pool ordinance. Teutopolis Village Board President Dave Repking said the Board made some changes from the proposal on what pools would require fencing. The measure will go to Village Attorney Tracy Willenborg for review.

Willenborg will also be asked to review a third Tax Increment Financing agreement with Canarm. Meanwhile, the board agreed to pay Farmweld $6,758.52 on their first TIF agreement.

The Board discussed drainage along State Street and will check with the affected property owners before deciding how to proceed since private property is involved. It was also decided to get quotes on the cost of an updated comprehensive land use plan for the village.

It was decided to accept an engineering services agreement from IDOT to have Milano and Grunloh Engineers complete preliminary engineering on a sidewalk grant funded project. The Board also decided to add Vine Street to the village's road oiling project.

Board members agreed to purchase two portable radios for the village police department and agreed to replace the village clerk's desktop computer and the water department's laptop computer.

The board voted to refund bond money on two lots in Prairie View Subdivision, and continued discussion on addressing properties at 611 and 613 West Main Street.
