Lawmakers are headed back to Springfield this week to tackle the pension problem.
They still don't have a deal and, so far, Democrat leaders in the House and Senate aren't willing to compromise on how to get the $97 billion liability under control.
Governor Quinn has suggested they establish a conference committee, which would allow five members of the House and five from the Senate work out a fix. House Speaker Michael Madigan apparently doesn't like the idea and it appears the House version of pension reform might get another vote in the Senate this week.
