Talent Show Winners Chosen, Junior Miss Crowned at Fair Sunday Evening

Cole Burrell and Avery Bohnhoff were the division winners Sunday at the Effingham County Fair Talent Show. The 17-year-old Burrell won the Senior Division with his vocal rendition of "Santa Fe", while the 13-year-old Bohnhoff won the Junior Division with a guitar and vocal rendition of "Grandpa". 

15-year-old Addison Bunton finished second in the Senior Division with a tap performance to the song, "I'm a Lady", while Alana Jackson finished second in the Junior Division with a contemporary ballet dance to the song "This is Me". 

The division winners will compete at the State Talent Show at the Illinois Association of Agricultural Fairs Convention in Springfield in January.

Congratulations also to Kinze Polk, daughter of Tayler and Jessica Polk of Altamont, who was crowned the 2023 Effingham County Junior Miss Fair Queen Sunday night. Lena Hille was First Runner-Up, Addisyn Schackman the Second Runner-Up, Macy McWhorter was Third Runner-Up, and Miley Pontious the Fourth Runner-Up.

3:30 and 5:30pm--Community Showcase in the Schuetzenfest Building

6:30pm--Truck, Tractor and Garden Tractor Pull sponsored by Dust and Son, Wix Filters, and Performance Lawn and Power

8am--4-H and Junior Poultry and Waterfowl Show

12:30pm--Junior Boer Goat Show

3pm--4-H Sheep Show
