Bond, which is being eliminated in Illinois, has been set at $2 million for a Robinson man charged with murder in Cumberland County.

24-year-old Lance Newcomb was charged July 6 with first degree murder in the death of 55-year-old Ryan Waggoner of Lerna. Waggoner's remains were located in a rural part of Crawford County on June 27. The remains were positively identified as those of Waggoner on July 6 and Newcomb was charged with murder the same day.

Newcomb, his mother and one other individual had been charged with concealment of a homicidal death the day that Waggoner's remains were located.

Newcomb is due in Cumberland County court for a preliminary hearing on July 24.
