Cowden-Herrick school board members Thursday approved an intergovernmental agreement with the Beecher City school district for social work services for the coming school year.

The Board authorized Superintendent Seth Schuler to begin work on a tentative budget for the coming school year; and awarded bids for propane, gasoline and diesel fuel.

Board members approved member Zach Sarver as member of the Eastern Illinois Area Special Education governing board and Rita Prosser as the alternate. Also approved was a copier lease agreement with TAPS for five years; the purchase of junior high and high school volleyball uniforms; and the purchase of computer tables.

Board members also employed Mandy Watson as a teacher aide.
