Teutopolis School Board Acts on Personnel Matters, Discusses After School Program

Teutopolis school board members approved several personnel matters at their June meeting.

The Board accepted resignations from Andy Borries as high school fresh-soph baseball coach, Craig Toler as high school PE and drivers' ed teacher and from coaching assignments, Hollie Sarchet as a bus driver, Conrad Widdersheim as a high school Science teacher and Rob Bothwell as high school fall assistant baseball coach.

Board members approved these assignments: Samantha Will as a sixth grade teacher, Amy Nice as high school PE and drivers' ed teacher, Jordan Thoele as high school assistant baseball coach for Fall and as fresh/soph high school baseball coach, Justin Fleener as high school varsity baseball coach, and Deana Goeckner as grade school custodian. The Board also extended the contract of grade school guidance counselor Brook Hoene by three days to finalize the coming school year.

The Board authorized Superintendent Matt Sturgeon to determine parent interest and possible participation in the creation of an after school program for students in Grades K-6, and to seek a program director and associated staff with a possible start date in August. Board members also approved the revised budget for the just completed school year, renewed various insurance coverages, and approved HVAC relocation and connection work at the grade school.
